Dog Friendly Beaches in Lincolnshire

Here in Lincolnshire we have many great dog friendly beaches which are perfect for our wet nosed little friends to enjoy a good scamper about.

Lincolnshire has lots of dog friendly beaches

It is a fact that all the main seaside towns like Skegness, Mablethorpe, Sutton-on-Sea and Cleethorpes which are located along the Lincolnshire coast have their own individual dog friendly beaches which are available in each resort all year round. There are also numerous more quieter beaches that your best friend/pet will love too some of which are shown below.

The Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park has several tranquil beaches which are dog friendly all year round being situated along the east coast in between the more famous seaside resorts of Skegness and Mablethorpe in Lincolnshire. The image below shows you one of the lovely tranquil dog friendly beaches at Wolla Bank and image above/right shows Huttoft Car Terrace where you can drive over the dunes and park right next to the sandy beach facing the sea on a hard-surfaced, free car park, both are part of the Lincolnshire Coastal Country park.

The coastal country Park runs along the Lincolnshire coast between Chapel Point (north of Chapel St Leonards) and Sutton on Sea, along the old Roman Bank there a several lovely beaches with excellent car parking including disabled parking bays, many picnic tables and public toilets. Moggs Eye, Anderby Creek, Marsh Yard, Chapel Six Marshes and Wolla Bank to name a few.

Chapel Point and Anderby Creek both have a small shop with cafe facilities where they serve delicious ice cream among other things.

Mablethorpe North beach is dog friendly and is to the left of the promenade and has so much space and even a sand train too.

The other larger seaside resorts of Skegness and Sutton on Sea also have dog friendly beaches available all year round.

For quieter or more remote beaches you must try: Theddlethorpe which is not that well-known by most holiday makers but is where all the locals take their dogs all year.

Theddlethorpe beach is just north of Mablethorpe and is one of the best dog friendly beaches with its wide open expanses of sandy beach and sand dunes which extend to nearly a mile wide in places, free car parking and very quiet all year round as there are no ice cream outlets or cafes here.
