Hello!  We’re Jeanette and Rob Folwell.  We dreamt of running a holiday business together and felt strongly about incorporating nature and the Great British countryside into our venture – even though we were both townies and had no experience or knowledge of wildlife and conservation! We found a redundant barn in Lincolnshire in 2007. Although the area had little biodiversity and the barn itself was dilapidated and overrun with pigeons, the site was bursting with potential.

With small grants and advice from Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service and Lincolnshire County Council, we were able to create a wildlife pond, purchase seed for a wildflower meadow, and plant 650 native trees. We created and built our top quality self catering holiday accommodation and caravan site businesses from scratch, using nature and wildlife to promote and improve what we now offer.
